Southern Brewing wins bid to sell liquor

City council recently approved the on-site sale of beer, wine and liquor for the owners of Southern Brewing & Winemaking in a close 4 to 3 vote. The approval came with the stipulation that no liquor, or "distilled spirits," will be sold after 11 p.m., and there will be no package sales.
